The Absolute Necessity of God In Our Most Forgotten Times to Ask.
"For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy.
For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all. Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
"For who has known the mind of the Lord,or who has been his counselor?""Or who has given a gift to himthat he might be repaid?"
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen."
When we are engulfed in the flames of our own hearts, torched by selfishness and carelessness, it is perhaps when we need God, our extinguisher, the most. When we are blinded by the circumstance and God seems to be out of sight, out of mind, we need Him the most. We need his grace, we need his love, we need his healing power... We need Him. Maybe it is when we forget that we need help, when we need it the most...{Romans 11:32-36}
It makes sense that we fail over and over again. No, it does not make it acceptable nor justifiable. However, through these circumstances we are to understand the magnitude of God's mercy and His love showered upon us in his patience. And with that knowledge we should strive to- no, every molecule and inch of our body and mind should desire to- never, ever fail again. It is also imperative to realize that we can only derive the strength and perseverance to never fail in Christ alone.
We were created to be imperfect so that our perfect God could be further glorified. We were created to need Him because there is no way we can get through life on our own, even in our best attempts. We are inferior, and He is far superior. Of course we need Him.
Oh God, you are far greater than my mind can comprehend. You are far greater than my most joyous moments, and you are far greater than the deepest of sorrows and pain. You are, seriously, the best.
Soli Deo Gloria.
