'Tis the Season...

To be studying!

Actually, finals week is already halfway over. I have my last one tomorrow at 8 A.M., and here I am, writing a blog. This post is long over-due since my last one in the beginning of November, and there have been many instances where I thought to myself, "Ooh! I should blog about this." or "Ooh! That's going on my blog." But alas-- my memory fails me.

But not to worry, I've got plenty of exciting stuff in store.

First of all, it's December 12th, 2012 (no, that's not the exciting part), and it is officially 12 days away from Christmas!! 12 might just become my new favorite number. Not.

Secondly, I would like to (not-yet-but-one-day) proudly say that I will be participating in Berean Community Church's Women's Football Team! Hurray! After an inspiring tournament this Spring, I prayed long and hard about joining the team. And although I feared that I will be more of a harm than a benefit to the team, I decided to try it out. Last Saturday was my first time at practice, and I died. Well, almost. Many people think I'm fit and athletic because of my height, but lesson learned here, people! Looks ARE deceiving! I am very much the opposite of athletic, and I hate running. But last Saturday, I ran. And ran. And blocked. And shoved. And ran some more. Even though I suffered from soreness the next few days, I had to admit that it was fun to participate in a team sport, with sisters who are so caring and who desire to show true sportsmanship. I know that I am in the good hands of our helpful and encouraging coaches, so I guess it is now up to me to put in my 110%.

Idk who he is, so no disrespect! Just using a meme!
Thirdly, I wanted to share a few of my upcoming plans!

  • Christmas at the Cottage; I wonder who my Secret Santa is!!
  • Special photo day for my parents this Saturday, celebrating their 23rd anniversary!
  • CHRISTMAS!!!
  • HOHOHOliday Potluck with my home friends the weekend after Christmas.
  • New Year's Eve service at Berean.
Amidst all business of life, it is so easy to forget the Creator of all things, and it is so easy for us to forget to attribute all things to the Almighty God. But it is really in Him and through Him that all things are possible; He is working even in our times of greatest doubt and unbelief. It is never because He abandons or forgets us that our lives become empty and purposeless, but it is always because we never seek to go to Jesus' feet before we embark on our daily missions. So let's not forget to go to Him in prayer, communing with Him through our daily Scripture-reading, and glorifying Him through our decisions in speech, thoughts, and actions.

Happy Wednesday, and stay warm!
