Twins...

So I've been spending my Monday and Wednesday afternoons watching after twin girls in the second grade. Here are two separate conversations that were pretty memorable...

1)
Older Twin: What's that ring? *points to the ring on my ring finger*
Me: Oh it's my mom's college ring! She gave it to me about 2-3 years ago.
Younger Twin: *with a matter-of-fact tone* Oh, she's dead.
Me: What. No... she's very much alive.
Twins: Oh.

2)
Me: (blah, blah) Duhhhh
Older Twin: "Duhh" is a bad word.

It has been a crazy past few weeks, and there has been too much on my mind/heart to write here. All I know is that God has been faithful, and the Holy Spirit has been renewing my heart more and more lately...

"So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal." [2 Cor. 4:16-18, ESV]

May we be strengthened by the Word of God and the understanding of his love for us...
May we have a praise-filled day, whether it is filled with happiness or sadness...
