A Few Thoughts of a Bride-To-Be

  • I have been so emotional and nostalgic about everything.
  • How do people plan for a second wedding after doing it the first time? Why would they trade in their sanity and souls for such a thing?
  • I should cancel my make-up since I am going to be crying all day (est. August 27th, 2015).
  • Maybe if I start taking some cooking classes now, I can trick Joe into thinking I can cook.
  • What if everything goes wrong on that day and nothing goes according to plan?
  • What if I don't let go of my dad's hand and freeze at the aisle?
  • I'm so excited for the dessert tasting.
  • Will Joe still love me when he sees me in my unkempt ways?
  • Does getting married make me an ajumma or getting a TJ Maxx credit card make me one?
  • I wish Simba was trained well enough to walk the rings down the aisle.
  • I never liked my last name until now. I'm kind of sad to no longer be a Park.
  • I'm so blessed to have friends and family who have gone before us to encourage and advise us.
  • I've done so much of my planning at work; what am I going to do now? Actually work?
  • The more I get to know Joe and his family, the more I see God's purpose in placing us together.
  • I'm blessed with the best in-laws ever. My father-in-law prayed for my brother over a meal a few weeks ago, and I pretty much ate my tears for dinner.
  • My parents' silent but certain love they show for Joe warms my heart. Brb; crying.
  • I'm never going to finish the slideshow.
  • Wedding planning is not as glamorous as Pinterest makes it seem. Ya'll really good at hiding all the stress that goes with it.
  • What's wedding shedding and why can't I get into it?
  • Getting to know more couples in and outside of church has been such a joy!! It's been a relief knowing that we aren't too crazy.
  • I can't wait to use all the kitchen gadgets I got from my shower. But first, where am I going to put all of them?
  • I wish all of my friends were getting married at the same time. I want all of our kids to be best friends.
  • When we get a dog, we will name it ramen. Shin Ramen.
Despite all the ups and downs of wedding planning, I am so ecstatic to marry Joe. I really don't think there is anybody else God could have placed in my life to challenge me, encourage me, and love me.

40 days!!!

Soli Deo Gloria.
